How Do I Motivate Myself To Workout

Let’s face it, training everyday is difficult, it’s not always easy to get up out of bed and motivate myself to workout because “its healthy” or “because I’ll get out of shape if I don’t”. Those tiny “reasons” are to small to create the level of motivation I need.

Reasons don't motivate MEEE…

The proof is in those who have something they are “fighting for”. They are fighting for something much bigger than themselves. This increases their self worth.

I know what motivates me, its my purpose in life. Its to inspire the people, its to spread the word of god, its to support my family, its to build a successful business, its to become a professional Armwrestler.

The Greatest contributing factor to my motivation is my Purpose in life. I have many things that I'm fighting for. I understand that I was put on this earth to make it a better place. I understand that I’m not just an evolved monkey — eating, pooping, and surviving HERE!

I'm a divine being created in the image of God, and my purpose is to spread a positive message. I realize that I’m not my body, I am my soul. I was put here to choose what I want to do with my god given free will.

As long as its moral and ethical in the eyes of god, I can — be, do, or have anything I want in life. I understand that god has a plan for me after I leave this physical world.

God’s gonna wanna know how many I brought with me — how did spread the good word?

So My Biggest Motivator Is My God Given Purpose…

My willpower and self discipline motivate me. With out willpower and discipline you never break through the hardest barriers in life

Studies have shown that disciplined people rise to the occasion, even when they don't feel motivated!

It’s so much easier to procrastinate, out of fear. It’s so much easier to be lazy and sit by the TV and forget about the things, you know, you should be doing.

But what happens if you do that?

Well, if you do it long enough, eventually, you’ll take your dreams, passions and goals in life to the Grave with you.

Literally,

Or…

You’ll whine up in a sticky situation. And THEN you’ll realize how much time you’ve wasted and that you really need to take action.

Don’t wait till you are old and full of regret!

And what happens a lot of the time is that we get stuck in a rut of back and forward.

We will work hard for little while to dig ourselves out of the hole we fell in... then we get lazy again…

we repeat this process over and over and over.

Wouldn’t it be much better if we just develop some willpower and discipline? What about CONSISTENCY?

You need willpower & discipline do the things you need to do to become successful.

You need consistency to do them long enough to reach that success!

This is the key to success! I would say one of the most formula to sucess is…

You will have the motivation once you’ve discovered your god given purpose & learn how to use your willpower and self discipline to achieve your goals in life. Stay consistent the entire time!

Because EXTERNAL motivation is fleeting it comes and goes one minute it’s there — then next, its not!

What is EXTERNAL motivation?

If you’ve ever used motivational speeches, music, caffeine, meds, pre-workout supplements, or anything like this, THOSE!

That’s your external motivation…

Winners get up and do whatever it takes even when they’re not motivated.

They do it when they’re unmotivated. Because they have a purpose, willpower, self-discipline and they are f**king consistent.

Let’s take a look at some examples of people with these qualities.

  1. Tony Robbins
  2. Neil Patel
  3. David Goggins
  4. Arnold Schwarzenegger
  5. Joe Rogan
  6. Eric Thomas
  7. Less Brown

Self-discipline will also help remove distractions from your life because with discipline you have the ability to focus on what you need to do.

It’s an easy way to put the blinders on and focus on the necessary tasks that are going to move you forward toward your goal.

For example.

If you’re tired. But, you know, you need to write that blog post.

You will stay up and you will write that blog post.

You’ll get a coffee.

You’ll put on some music.

And you will write that blog post.

That’s the difference between discipline and motivation. If you rely solely on motivation, you will be disappointed. This is what will happen.

You listen to an audio to psych yourself. Up could be like a Tony Robbins audio.

And you’ll feel motivated.

It will last for maybe 5 10, 15 minutes.

Maybe an hour at the most.

And then when your motivation runs out, you’ll stop regardless of whether you’re finished that blog post or not. And then you’ll go to sleep.

If you were disciplined, you would have gotten far more done. You would have completed that blog post or gotten at least a much further than you would have if you relied purely on this motivation.

Discipline is next level.

When you listen to people’s excuses they say “oh I’ll do it when I feel motivated to do it” and then they NEVER DO IT. Disciplined people say, “I work even when I don’t want to, and that's why i’m successful.”

“I just do it.”

“I get it done.”

“I don’t feel like doing it but I do it anyway.”

That’s discipline.

That’s what Warriors do.

That’s what Champions do.

Champions will show up in the ring when they don’t want to or when they’re scared. That’s discipline!

If you want to be a champion in anything in life…

You have to acquire discipline…

If you want to win at anything in life…

You have to acquire discipline…

If you want to be successful and have a lot of money and wealth, you must have discipline!

Discipline over rules every other principal except for your purpose, it’s the golden principle for success.

Don’t get me wrong, there are many other principles that are important like (courage, confidence, competence, knowledge, etc...)

Lets look at knowledge…

You need knowledge in order to use that discipline to its full potential. Knowledge is the information that you need to hone your craft. But without discipline knowledge it goes unused.

Learning does not end when school ends. But what and how much you decide to learn after school is up to you. So get to learning!

Discipline yourself to Learn and acquire knowledge — stay consistent!

Learn everyday, study, train, read, listen to educational audio — day-in, day-out!

Know your purpose, discipline yourself, gain knowledge, and stay consistent!

Get on a schedule, block out the distractions, get the family on board. consistency doesn't happen over night, build the habits over time. They are supportive of each other. Consistency builds the habits, habits lead to more consistency.

I want you to be successful, so remember what i said, and what the leaders in these video have taught you!

This is for the both of us and I hope it really helps you to stay disciplined my friends. Workout with me if it helps, or get healthy, and train on your own. Either way it will improve all other aspects of your life. Now get out there and go WORKOUT, then come back here an write a sick post on medium.

Take care.
